Behind SensCaché A note from Alexandra Rubino.

Our Story

I'm American. My husband is an artist. We live in the South of France.

SensCaché was born from a conversation between the way we each see the world. He notices the colors of a hidden cove in September. I notice the shape of a cap that could carry that memory. Together, we combined our two perspectives—his eye for beauty and my love of style—to create something neither of us would have made on our own.

The idea was simple.

The baseball cap is deeply American. It's almost a symbol in itself. But reimagined through the colors, textures, and spirit of a small village on the French Riviera, it becomes something else entirely. It becomes a piece of a Côte d'Azur that most guidebooks never mention. The one just around the corner. The one locals quietly keep to themselves.

That's the idea behind SensCaché—literally, "hidden meaning."

The places that reveal themselves slowly. The details not everyone notices. The memories that stay with you long after you've left.

We begin with Bormes. Saint-Clair and Le Lavandou are next.

And beyond the caps, there will be more: accessories, home objects, and everyday pieces designed to carry a little of this hidden coast with you throughout the year—not just in summer.

If you wear a SensCaché cap, it's probably not because you want to be noticed.

It's because it reminds you of a place. A certain light. A particular moment in time.

That's the whole point.
